Diakhaby: "Points away from home are very important"
Mouctar Diakhaby has previously played against LOSC Lille in Ligue 1, but on Wednesday he will do so in the UEFA Champions League for the first time. The defender acknowledged that he has prior experience of the opposition in a pre-match press conference, but is aware that the current side is very different to the ones he faced.
"Their team has changed a lot with respect to that which I played against before, as they have a lot of new players. I've seen several of their games, I have friends here and Osimhen is an excellent player with a lot of pace, but LOSC Lille also have other important players," he said to the media in the French city.

"We want the three points tomorrow. Points away from home are very important. We've come here to win, because we know that if we do that tomorrow, things will be very difficult for Lille," added Diakhaby, who was also asked about how the experience last year in Switzerland -against Young Boys- has affected the team's approach.
"We dropped points there, and we know that points away from home are very important. We hope to get all three tomorrow," he warned.
Asked about competition for places with Gabriel Paulista and Ezequiel Garay, Diakhaby was philosophical, expressing that "It's very good for me. I've been able to play a lot and show what I can do. The idea for me is to give my all when the team need me."
